Where We Ship

We ship to destinations in the 48 contiguous United States and Washington, D.C., as well as Alaska and Hawaii. Additional shipping charges apply to Alaska and Hawaii.

We do not currently offer international shipping.

Shipping to Canada

National Ladder & Scaffold is not currently able to ship orders to Canada. We appreciate your interest and apologize for any inconvenience.

Parcel Shipping & Freight Handling

Parcel Shipping

Parcel shipping is generally suitable for smaller items that meet the carrier's package size and weight limits. Examples include clothing, footwear, gloves, small safety products, replacement parts, and compact accessories.

Freight & Specialized Handling

Freight or specialized transportation is required when a product's size, weight, or packaging makes it unsuitable for parcel shipping. Products that may require this handling include extension ladders, rolling ladders, scaffolding frames and platforms, jobsite storage chests, material lifts, and large truck or van equipment. Trailers and unusually large equipment may require specialized delivery arrangements.

Shipping methods vary by item and order. The product's dimensions, weight, packaging, order quantity, and delivery requirements determine the appropriate shipping method. Smaller parts and accessories may ship by parcel even when the main product requires freight.

Freight Quotes & Order Processing

For orders requiring a freight quote, we will contact you within 1–2 hours of order placement during normal business hours: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Eastern Time.

Orders requiring a freight quote will only be processed after you approve that quote.

Product Availability & Lead Times

Product availability and manufacturer lead times vary. Please contact Customer Service for current estimates, including lead times for Cotterman products. Any lead times provided are estimates and may vary.

Freight Incentives

Knaack / Weather Guard: Orders over $7,000 qualify for free shipping to eligible commercial addresses in the 48 contiguous United States, subject to the requirements below.

Free Shipping Requirements & Exceptions

• Free shipping applies only to qualifying items and orders delivered to commercial addresses in the 48 contiguous United States.

• Residential addresses are not included in the free shipping program.

• Freight incentives apply to qualifying orders shipped as a single shipment to a single destination.

• Orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii are not eligible for free shipping and incur additional shipping charges.

Freight Rates & Additional Surcharges

All freight rates are estimates and may be subject to change. We will honor quoted freight rates whenever possible, but residential delivery, jobsite delivery, or other unforeseen circumstances may affect the delivery cost.

We will notify you before changing quoted freight charges and before charging your card. Additional surcharges may apply for:

• Residential delivery.

• Jobsite delivery.

• Required delivery appointments.

• Special handling for oversized items or deliveries requiring a liftgate.

• Hard-to-reach shipping areas, including Manhattan, NY, select rural areas, and islands accessible only by ferry.

Returns & Warranty

Freight Damage

All shortages and freight damage should be noted on the bill of lading. If the damage is excessive, refuse the delivery. Please advise Customer Service of the action taken. All hidden damage needs to be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

National Ladder & Scaffold Co. is not responsible for shipments that are not signed for as being short or as "damaged on arrival."

Our responsibility for delivery ceases upon acceptance by transportation company, who acts as your agent; the purchase and sale being completed at National Ladder & Scaffold Co., Madison Heights, Michigan.

Sales Policy

We reserve the right to cancel or modify any and all agreements, undertaking or contracts in the event of strikes, fire, accidents, or other causes beyond our control. This is only an offer to sell, and we reserve the right to decline any and all others. (These terms supersede all previous terms and conditions, and are subject to change without notice.)

Returned Goods Policy

All material must be new, unused, of current design, and in resalable condition. All discontinued items are not returnable. Merchandise credit will only be issued for material returned freight prepaid to the factory and credit will be issued at the original purchase price to 15% (minimum) handling and restocking charge, less any additional cost or refinishing and/or repackaging.

Merchandise that has been out of the factory 7 days or longer cannot be returned for credit.

NOTE: To expedite handling of your credit, send National Ladder & Scaffold Co. both reasons for return and the order number on which the product was originally billed.

Warranty

National Ladder & Scaffold Co. warrants all our products against defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty covers replacement or repair of defective parts for the lifetime of the product, provided that failure is not due to abuse, abnormal use, or by normal wear and tear.

NO OTHER WARRANTY, EITHER WRITTEN OR ORAL, SHALL APPLY. THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THOSE OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS. IN NO EVENT DOES NATIONAL LADDER & SCAFFOLD CO. LIABILITY EXTEND BEYOND REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF ITS PRODUCTS AS WARRANTED ABOVE.

Packaging

There is no charge for packaging or boxing according to our standard specifications. Special packaging quotations are available upon request.
