Shipping & Handling

National Ladder is committed to providing you with our best possible freight rates. We seek freight specials, incentives, discounts and in some cases FREE freight shipping (based on certain purchasing levels).

We will contact you within 1-2 hours of placing your orders, during normal business hours (8 a.m. – 5 p.m. EST Monday - Friday). Your order will only be processed after you have approved the freight quote.

Free Shipping Exceptions

Free shipping on select items and packages apply only to commercial addresses. Residential addresses are not included in the Free Shipping program.

Important Notes

  • Freight incentives apply to qualifying orders for a single shipment to a single destination
  • Orders that qualify for free shipping can only be delivered to locations in the 48 contiguous United States. Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, or any country outside of the US will have additional shipping charges applied.
  • All freight rates are estimates and may be subject to change. Freight rates will be honored whenever possible but may be subject to change for the following reasons: Residential Delivery Address, Job Site Delivery, or any other unforeseen circumstances that may affect the price of delivery.
  • Any changes to freight cost shall be communicated to the customer prior to charging the card.

Additional surcharges may apply (you will be notified before we change the quoted freight charges):

  • Residential Delivery
  • Job Site Delivery
  • Required Delivery Appointments
  • Special Handling - Odd Sizes and/or Requires a lift gate
  • Hard to reach shipping zones – i.e. Manhattan, NY, select rural areas and any islands accessible only by ferry

Returns & Warranty

Freight Damage

All shipments should be inspected for completeness and damage prior to signing carrier's bill of lading.

All shortages and freight damage should be noted on the Bill Of Lading. If the damage is excessive, refuse the delivery. Please advise Customer Service of the action taken. All hidden damage needs to be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

National Ladder & Scaffold Co. is not responsible for shipments that are not signed for as being short or as "damaged on arrival."

Freight allowances applies to qualifying orders by dollar amount of purchase for a single shipment to a single destination.

Our responsibility for delivery ceases upon acceptance by transportation company, who acts as your agent; the purchase and sale being completed at National Ladder & Scaffold Co., Madison Heights, Michigan.

Sales Policy

We reserve the right to cancel or modify any and all agreements, undertaking or contracts in the event of strikes, fire, accidents, or other causes beyond our control. This is only an offer to sell, and we reserve the right to decline any and all others. (These terms supersede all previous terms and conditions, and are subject to change without notice.)

Returned Goods Policy

A returned goods authorization number (RGA) must be obtained from National Ladder & Scaffold Co. to return any merchandise.

All material must be new, unused, of current design, and in resalable condition. All discontinued items are not returnable. Merchandise credit will only be issued for material returned freight prepaid to the factory and credit will be issued at the original purchase price to 15% (minimum) handling and restocking charge, less any additional cost or refinishing and/or repackaging.

Merchandise that has been out of the factory 7 days or longer cannot be returned for credit.

NOTE: To expedite handling of your credit, send National Ladder & Scaffold Co. both reasons for return and the order number on which the product was originally billed.

Warranty

National Ladder & Scaffold Co. warrants all our products against defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty covers replacement or repair of defective parts for the lifetime of the product, provided that failure is not due to abuse, abnormal use, or by normal wear and tear.

NO OTHER WARRANTY, EITHER WRITTEN OR ORAL, SHALL APPLY. THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THOSE OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS. IN NO EVENT DOES NATIONAL LADDER & SCAFFOLD CO. LIABILITY EXTEND BEYOND REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF ITS PRODUCTS AS WARRANTED ABOVE.

Packaging

There is no charge for packaging or boxing according to our standard specifications. Special or export package quotations are available upon request.
